“a new budget for a UK in recession” with Stéphane Déo (Ostrum AM)

Stéphane Déo is director of market strategy at Ostrum Asset Management. He has over 20 years of experience in his field. He started his career in 1995 at the OECD in the Directorate for Science and Technology. He then joined Goldman Sachs Paris in 1997 as a junior economist in France, then in London as a European economist. He joined UBS-Warburg in 2001, where he held several positions: first in Paris as economist responsible for the countries of Southern Europe, then in London, where he was responsible for economic research for Europe. The team he led was ranked by investors for several years in a row as the best European financial survey (institutional investor survey and Extel survey). Subsequently, he took responsibility for multi-asset strategy and led all of UBS’s strategy research, where he managed around 50 strategists specializing in the various asset classes. In 2015 he joined Empirical Research in New York as Head of Global Strategy. Then LBPAM in 2017 as a multi-asset strategist. Stéphane Déo graduated HEC, majoring in finance, he has a DEA in economics from EHESS, a PhD in finance from HEC, which he obtained “with honors”. He completed his studies with a postdoctoral year at the Haas Business School at the University of California at Berkeley.
