a teaser for the Amazon series that everyone has forgotten

A teaser for the last season of carnival row just fell from the sky and heralds the series’ return to Amazon Prime Video in 2023.

Vestige of the original Amazon series, carnival row had undoubtedly seen his fans despairing to see his sequel land, or at least a conclusion to his story, since his debut. Yet his original concept for urban and Victorian fantasy was enough to let this exciting black thriller float within TV offerings, all the more so if we consider its main names. They are certainly no longer the actors of the moment, but in 2019 Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne still enjoyed an aura sufficient to carry an ambitious project on their shoulders.

With Guillermo del Toro producing and directing certain episodes, carnival row was full of promise. In the end, it generally doesn’t matter that his first season will have rested, despite several fairly positive public returns. Then suddenly – when oblivion had almost completely conquered his existence -, an unexpected teaser has just dropped to announce the second and final season.

The reunion time is very short, but still gives us a new insight into the people of Rycroft and Vignette. As the fairy drops her companion into the void, in a rather beautiful scene of tragic separation, the final shots reveal her reluctance to catch up with him. Betrayal or symbolic test of the couple? The mystery lingers.

Be that as it may, after a long wait and delayed filming due to the pandemic, die-hard fans of carnival row will finally have the chance to know the rest of the series, although unfortunately this second act will also be the last. An opportunity for Amazon not to let this story go, however without a satisfactory result.

It remains to be seen if the return will be a winner and not a wet firecracker knowing that everything has to be completed in just ten episodes. This final season will therefore be available on Amazon Prime Video from February 17, 2023., four years after the first season. Now that the streaming platform has grown in popularity with major series like The boys Where Rings of powerremains to be seen if the series finds a wider audience, curious to give it a chance.
