If love isn’t in the air for singles desperate to find a soul mate, it might be in the stars.
In “Cosmic Love,” a one-of-a-kind new dating show from Amazon Studios, four sexy contestants from across the United States embark on a starry journey to find their perfect match, guided by their hearts — and their star charts. of birth.
“They say love doesn’t come with instructions, but in fact your birth chart is a little instruction manual for yourself,” explained Ophira and Tali Edut, otherwise known as the AstroTwins, at The Post. The show’s best-selling astrologers and authors – who have worked with a number of stars including Beyoncé, Emma Roberts, Alicia Keys, Karlie Kloss and Sting – advise singles throughout the season through the mysterious and mystical Astro Chamber.
“We match people based on their sun, their moon, their mercury, their horoscope,” the AstroTwins explain. “During the season, they learn about themselves and unpack the mystery of themselves and their graphics while [exploring] their physical attraction to other people. So there are two things at stake. There are their hearts and their cards. It’s really fascinating and fun to watch them discover these things for themselves.
Each of the show’s four tracks represents one of the four elements of astrology: air, fire, water and earth. There’s Maria Rodriguez (Capricorn, earth element), a sassy 28-year-old Latina from New York City who struggled to find time to find love while running several successful businesses, including her own brand, M Beauty Party. . Model and fitness competitor Phoebe Davis (Fire Element Leo) hails from Spokane, Washington, and the 28-year-old is described as “the consummate cosmic lioness whose roar has scared more than two gamers.”
Representing the guys are Connor Shennan (Gemini, air element), a 27-year-old wildland firefighter from Phoenix, Arizona, who “has to weigh every option before making a decision,” and Noel Allen (Pisces, water element), a 31-year-old personal trainer and New Jersey native who loves cooking, entertainment and “won’t dilute his desire for freedom and safety.”
Over the course of the season, the four leads will mingle with 16 contestants in hopes of finding true love, and if they’re lucky before the series ends, they’ll have to solve a very cosmic dilemma: will they marry their match, based solely on their astrology – or will they end their journey alone?
Astrology 101: Your Guide to the Stars
Filmed in an exotic and mysterious location, the romantic adventure of the four elements is a must, according to Rodriguez.
“It’s something you’ve never seen before,” she told the Post. “You can see different cultures, different ages, different companies, different ideas [and] different personalities. And I think that’s what we need on reality TV right now. You need something young, you need something fun, something different. It’s unique. So why not watch?
And while the concept of the dating series may be unorthodox, Rodriguez is confident she’ll find her match using only astrology as a guide.
“It’s a matter of signs,” she insists. “Astrology is part of everyone’s life in one way or another. Whether you believe in angel numbers, horoscopes, crystals, the universe, manifestation, or the signs of the zodiac, you believe in astrology.
“Cosmic Love” premieres all 10 episodes on Prime Video Friday, August 12.
Produced by Amazon Studios and Hudsun Media, the series is available in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
