Development of skills. Microsoft launches the “Skills for Jobs” program in Morocco

Building on the success of its previous skills development initiative, Microsoft has just launched the Microsoft 365 learning program “Skills for Jobs”.

Since the Skills Development Initiative was launched in June 2020, Microsoft has successfully trained more than 80 million people, enabling them to access basic digital skills, Microsoft said in a statement.

In Morocco, no less than 223,000 people have benefited from the skills development program launched by Microsoft, while 6,280 Moroccans have managed to complete the career development phase linked to this program, the same source said.

“However, at Microsoft we believe that skills alone are not enough for candidates to access all the jobs and careers they want, especially those who retrain should be able to demonstrate their specific skills to hiring managers ,” the press release states.

And to emphasize that the digital transformation has accelerated in all sectors of economic activity, thus generating a favorable impact on growth in general.

The Microsoft Skills for Jobs Learning Pathways program aims to ensure economic opportunity is inclusive, enabling job seekers around the world to better master technology and their skills, and to access more opportunities to succeed in a economy in change.
