Fertilizer, spare parts… Agriconomy dreams of being the “Amazon of farms”

The company wants to go further. On Tuesday, the e-trader, which this year achieves a turnover of 100 million euros, announced that it had secured new financing of 60 million euros. Carried out with four investment funds (Eurazeo, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek, Tre├»s Group and Californian Aliment Capital), this fundraising should enable“enhance the experience of our 80,000 farmer customers in Europe with speed of delivery, supplies, telephone advice…”emphasizes Paolin Pascot, co-founder of Agriconomie.

The company also aims to accelerate in the five countries where it is present (France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Belgium). “The potential market for agricultural procurement is 200 billion euros and we will focus on France and Germany first”, says the manager. While it claims for its website the monthly visits of 85% of French farmers, Agriconomie will also double its workforce in Europe to recruit and retain more farmers.
