First arrival of Serena oranges to the UK

Spanish Serena oranges arrived at Nationwide Produce just in time for Christmas. The weekly arrivals continued until the New Year.

“Growing conditions in Spain are good and controlled for quality, safe and healthy production for our customers,” said David Serena of Serena Oranges. “Thanks to our geographical location in the best production area in Spain, we can offer a fresh and tasty product. »

Nationwide Produce has recently become the exclusive UK partner for Serena oranges.

“In terms of available volumes, the 2022/2023 season sees production in balance with demand. We will be able to supply our customers without any problems. »

Serena oranges will target wholesale and catering customers.

“Established in 1967, the Serena brand is trusted and known for its premium oranges, grown and packed with care. We are proud to work with another well-established family business. And exclusively to be able to stock such a quality brand in the UK,” said Rebecca Fox of Nationwide Produce.

“We always sell more oranges at Christmas because they say they represent a golden gift from Saint Nicholas. It is the first Covid-free year for two years and we have seen a slight increase in sales despite the disruption from last week’s freeze and rail strikes which affected trade as a whole.

“In the new year we often give way to healthy or even vegetarian food with Veganuary, which automatically brings attention back to the fresh produce industry. With a terrible cold sweeping the UK at the moment, perhaps Serena oranges could help with their high levels of vitamin C and antioxidants? They are soft, juicy and for us essential products. »

Nationwide Produce is expected to continue importing Serena oranges weekly throughout January.
