On November 17th, we shared with you the unbeatable price of the Forza Horizon 5 + Forza Horizon 4 premium edition bundle. The Swedish Microsoft Store had just listed the bundle including the two games and all their expansions for just €0.70. If the pricing error was fixed quickly, many of you were able to take advantage of the “offer”.
Game deletion and refund
Unfortunately, the euphoria will have been short-lived since Microsoft took action today. Like us, you probably received an email telling you that you have a refund.
This is completely normal as the giant canceled the orders after the price error. If you didn’t have the games, they are now deleted from your library. For those who took advantage of the offer to upgrade from a standard version to the Premium version, the associated benefits are usually no longer available.
Does Microsoft have the right to remove my digital games?
On the sidelines of this refund, many of you are wondering if Microsoft has the right to legally delete the games purchased from their store. The answer is yes, as it is a pricing error. This is clearly stated in the Microsoft terms and conditions.
