The British have chosen a very original costume for the Halloween party, which takes place on Monday 31 October. It’s a salad. A guise referring to the “face to face” lost by ex-prime minister Liz Truss against the vegetable tabloid Daily Star.
Everyone dresses up like a salad. After resigning from her post as Prime Minister on October 20, just 45 days after her appointment as head of the UK government, Liz Truss has been subjected to some taunts on social networks. And the British don’t miss a single opportunity to make fun of it.
Taking advantage of the Halloween party, which takes place this Monday, October 31, some English people have even managed to invent the disguise of the year: a salad. Thus, on TikTok, internet users had fun showing off their outfits in short videos. And some have even managed to make a “tutorial” to make “Liz Truss Salad” well.

This guise refers to the “face-to-face” lost by Liz Truss against tabloid Daily Star vegetable. In fact, on Friday 14 October, the British tabloid Daily Star had placed a salad and a picture of the Prime Minister with a question: “Can Liz Truss survive this salad?”.
Therefore, Liz Truss lasted only six days compared to the British newspaper salad, which expires on the tenth day.
The tabloid “celebrated” the victory for its salad, filmed 24 hours a day since Friday, by serving it a glass of sparkling wine and by operating a disco ball.
