Microsoft Outlook Will Soon Allow Users To Collaborate In Emails Using The Loop Component

The Loop component launched in Microsoft Teams in 2021 to create a new way for people to think, plan, and create together. Where users can send a component to the platform, anyone in the chat can edit inline and the changes will be visible immediately.

The same feature labeled 93234 in the Microsoft 365 roadmap is expected to reach general availability for Outlook on the web and Windows desktop in November rather than September as previously reported. It should have reached full wide availability by the end of December, not the end of September.

By simply inserting a Loop component via the toolbar or copying and pasting components between emails and Teams chats, users will be able to collaborate, edit content inline, and see changes made in real time. It is similar to the approach used in Microsoft Teams.

However, does not support eDiscovery workflows. Therefore, you should consider disabling it if your organization uses them, as it is enabled by default.
