Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11 22H2 update packages
The update will follow rolling out updates for Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11 22H2 in October. These bring some new features to Windows 11:
- File Explorer Tabs
- download (from Amazon AppStore) and running Android apps on Windows
- management of applications available from Windows settings (without going through the control panel)
- returning the Task Manager from right-clicking on the taskbar
For Windows 10, it does not bring new features, but consolidates acquired features and updates (close to a Windows XP, Vista or 7 Service Pack).
The corrections made in November
Among the fixes installed for Windows 11 and 10, the most important changes concern a problem with File Explorer. It was unable to open some folders (Windows 11). The rest of the updates relate to the security and stability of Windows. The fixes concern 168 patches, of which 77 are considered critical, 83 important and 3 moderate.
Updates are available in Windows Update, Windows Update, Software Updater for Mac, Microsoft AutoUpdate, App Store App Stores for iOS and Google Play App Stores for Android. June Patch Tuesday is the final security update for version 20H2. An update to a newer version of Windows 10 (21H1 and 21H2) or Windows 11 is offered if the computer is compatible.
