Microsoft puts cybersecurity expertise to work for customers by launching Microsoft Security Experts – News Center

Issy-les-Moulineaux, May 9, 2022 – In an international context of a shortage of cybersecurity professionals, Microsoft announces the expansion of its security offerings with the creation of Microsoft Security Experts. This aims to strengthen protection, compliance and productivity in organizations by offering the combination of advanced technologies with the expertise of Microsoft’s cybersecurity teams.

Securing its activities has become more and more complex for organizations: the risk of cybercrime has increased exponentially and there is a lack of highly qualified professionals in this field. Just last year, Microsoft’s cybersecurity team blocked more than 9.6 billion malware threats and more than 35.7 billion phishing attempts and other fraudulent emails.

With these attacks on the rise, it is becoming increasingly difficult for organizations to build a dedicated cybersecurity team with the right level of expertise to meet today’s challenges.

That’s why Microsoft is unveiling new security services that are grouped under the offer Microsoft security experts. Security experts combine Microsoft technologies with the expertise of dedicated teams to help organizations better secure their operations, achieve compliance, manage identities and privacy. In fact, technology alone is not enough to defend against cyber attacks. This is the combination of a good understanding of threats, trained professionals and state-of-the-art technology that enables effective security.

The offer thus gives Microsoft customers the opportunity to develop their teams of experts, according to their needs, without being obliged to train them or recruit them themselves.

Three new services are offered:

  • Microsoft Defender experts on the hunt : For customers who have a robust Security Operations Center (SOC) but expect Microsoft to help proactively hunt down threats using Microsoft Defender data. Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting will be available this summer.
  • Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR: intended for customers who need to strengthen the detection and response capabilities of their security operations center through human and technological expertise. Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR will be available in preview later in 2022.
  • Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise: for large enterprises looking for more comprehensive services that combine proactive threat hunting and strengthening operational management in all types of cloud environments and on all platforms. Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise is available today.

Microsoft will also make an additional multi-million dollar investment this year in its XDR (Extended Detection and Response) partner ecosystem, including building new APIs to connect to Microsoft threat data.
