It has everything of a Surface Pro X, except the price
If the previous generation of Surface Pro offered a very conventional design, the Pro 8, Microsoft goes through its copy and takes inspiration in particular from the Pro X. It offers an 11% larger screen compared to the previous generation with a 13 almost edge-to-edge inch , which now offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz. This change provides a better experience with the pen in addition to providing a smoother and more efficient display.
The adjustable foot has been replaced by a hinge that is much more comfortable to handle and the keyboard has also gained in volume to accommodate the Surface Pen stylus. The screen is also more responsive, so the pen is more accurate with lower latency. This tablet PC is designed to be light, easy to carry and versatile, and to say, it weighs only 899 grams. This model also incorporates better connectivity with Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6 in addition to an improved photo part: two photo sensors (one front and one back), the main one of which is 10 megapixels and capable of filming up to 4K. Don’t expect miracles either, it does the job without more.
More powerful than ever
The Surface Pro 8 has clearly gained power with the final presence of an 11th generation Intel i5 chip and 8GB of RAM. We have therefore doubled the performance compared to the previous model. No slowdown when opening creative software or surfing the web. On the storage side, a 128 GB SSD is planned to offer you a good response.
Windows 11 is of course part of it to be able to offer a fluid user experience and will also manage the refresh rate dynamically to maximize autonomy. On this page, Microsoft promises an endurance of 16 hours to easily last a day away from an outlet. Finally, the manufacturer updates the connectors and abandons the USB-A port in favor of two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
