Microsoft is obviously going through a tough time. Although its revenue is increasing, some of its products are selling much less today. To increase its sales, the company would consider offering low-cost computers connected to the cloud and funded by advertising.
Several internet users have recently seen a job offer on Microsoft. In particular, the Redmond company is looking for a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead a team responsible for exploring web and cloud experiences in Windows. Before it was removed, the ad stated that this team would produce ” from low-cost PCs to revenue generated by ads and subscriptions “.
This is not a big surprise to internet users. Satya Nadella, the head of Microsoft, had already mentioned such a project at the last conference on the company’s balance sheet. In addition, it is not the first time that the Redmond company takes advantage of advertising. In fact, Microsoft’s web browser already includes ads, not to mention that it now handles ads for Netflix’s first ad-supported subscription tier.
Microsoft seems to want to integrate advertising into all of its products. However, this will likely displease a large proportion of customers. What do you think ?
