Microsoft is in the process of making the largest transaction in the history of the video game industry by acquiring Activision Blizzard for $69 billion. If the sale were to materialize, there are still chances to even fail under pressure from regulators.

Satya Nadella wants to be reassuring about Microsoft’s long-term goals
Nadella’s goal is clear for the video game, let as many people as possible enjoy it, regardless of the platform.
“Our goal is to give as many opportunities as possible for players to play where they want and for developers to have more flexibility. Microsoft is a conglomerate, I want to be clear about that. We don’t do productivity there and games here .”
When asked if Microsoft will continue on the video game path even if the Activision-Blizzard takeover fails, Nadella didn’t hesitate :
“We’ve been making video games for decades, and we’ll continue.”
The message is therefore clear: Microsoft is and will remain at the forefront. The acquisition of Activision Blizzard raised many questions and worried some regulators. It must be said that the publisher is the first in the market and the competition, especially Sony, does not look favorably on Microsoft’s grip on strong licenses that sell PlayStations, like Call of Duty. .
