Health: more than 4.8 million Hanoians can use their smart ID card
Hanoi City has counted more than 4.8 million people as of December 26, whose health insurance data has been integrated into the national population database, and who can use their smart ID cards for medical examinations and treatments.

To date, Hanoi Social Insurance has recorded 271,000 uses of smart ID cards for medical examinations and treatment.
The city currently has 590 medical institutions that enforce the use of electronic ID cards, said the director of Hanoi Social Insurance, Phan Van Men.
People just need to use their identity card and the National Electronic Identification Application (VNEID) without showing their health insurance card, he added.
According to Hanoi Social Insurance, the city registered as of December 26 7,738,435 people covered by health insurance, representing 92.9 percent of the population or 256,303 more than last year.
