SpaceX still needs to raise money

Elon Musk’s company launches the first fundraiser of the year, the tenth in three years. SpaceX must convince new investors to fund its Starlink and Starship programs, which are now closely linked.

HAVEafter raising $1.846 billion in 2021, SpaceX is again appealing to investors for the first time this year. The goal this time is to raise no less than 1.725 billion dollars. The announcement would have been the subject of an internal email to the company, but not yet of a disclosure at the level of the SEC (Security & Exchange Commission), the policeman of the US stock market. In February, SpaceX split its existing shares down to $56 apiece. For this new capital increase, the shares would now be offered at $70, a 25% increase in their value.
