The Amazon spin-off of The Boys has revealed a first trashy teaser

The universe of The boys continues with Gen V, a teen series that promises to be pretty trashy and has just revealed its first images.

Amazon Prime Video Series The boys recently came to kick the huge anthill of works based on superheroes. Innovative, whimsical and above all very gorythe series created by Eric Kripke and based on comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson is a real phenomenon.

If The Boys has already been eligible for a spin-off with that little pleasure The boys: Devilish, an anthology animated series whose episodes have served to enrich the mythology without all having a connection to the original series, a new spin-off is in the works. The year 2023 will be a busy one for Amazon as season 4 of The Boys was set to arrive, accompanied by Gene V, a teen series set at a university reserved for young superheroes. Judging by the first teaser Gene V, this new spin-off promises to be just as bloody as The boys.

At the Godolkin University School of Crimefighting, run by Vought International (the company that founded the Seven), empowered young adults strive to be the best. According to the synopsis, the school is there to test these people full of hormones and with a tenfold competitive spirit, ready to do anything to win the most interesting contracts.

Blood, tears, guts and screams, if the teaser doesn’t say much about the show’s plot, it announces the tone. Forget Gen Z, Gen V looks even scarier. The spin-off is overseen by Craig Rosenberg, producer and screenwriter of The boysand duo Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, screenwriters ofAgent Carter. Seth Rogen serves as a producer on the show along with Eric Kripke.

Safe succession

About some actors of The boys is back, including Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie and PJ Byrne, the cast consists mostly of new faces such as Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Chance Perdomo and Maddie Phillips. No specific date has been announced, however Gene V will arrive on the Amazon Prime Video platform in 2023.
