The Chinese group CGN is leaving the British nuclear power plant project Sizewell C, while London and EDF each invest 700 million pounds.
London has confirmed that China’s CGN is exiting the Sizewell C nuclear power plant project and will inject around £700m into it, including CGN’s stake, according to a UK government press release on Tuesday and comments from EDF, which co. – invests.
The French energy company, the main contractor of the project, dedicates a similar amount to it and will have a 50% stake in the new financial structure in line with London, Simone Rossi, the general director of EDFEnergy.
