The British Prime Minister’s tenure was the shortest in history … and the most expensive. She is said to have helped dig a £30 billion hole in the UK budget. This doubles the deficit to be filled by the budget, which will be unveiled on Thursday 17 November 2022 by his successor, Rishi Sunak.

The fleeting Iron Lady , Liz Truss didn’t just break the record for the shortest tenure. The opposite of her idol Margaret Thatcher (1979-1990), who pulled the British out of the crisis at the expense of eleven long years of austerity, the former prime minister managed the feat of weighing down the country’s finances in just forty-five days.

“A mistake in flying blind”
