The famous classification of Guardian of the best universities in the United Kingdom is a list that is expected and scrutinized by the British, and not only! A total of 121 establishments will take place in the 2022 edition. All are rated out of 100, a score determined by adding nine criteria that are supposed to cover all aspects of the student’s life cycle.

The famous University of Oxford comes first, with the perfect score of 100/100 given by the English newspaper. The establishment therefore retains its first place, already acquired in 2021. The podium is completed by the Cambridge and St. Andrews, located in Scotland. Note that this top three consists of the three oldest universities in the Union.

The top ten universities in the UK are: Oxford, Cambridge, St. Andrews, London School of Economics, Durham, Warwick, Imperial College, Bath, UCL and Loughborough.

Employment after graduation

The cap goes to the University of Bedfordshire (located in Luton, north London), which scores 34 out of 100, 17 points less than second last.

The criteria retained by Guardian collect, among other things, the students’ satisfaction with the courses received, the number of former students working at the university in question, the admission fee for students, the amount spent per student by the administration and the number of former students who have found a job corresponding to to their qualification level fifteen months after the end of their schooling.
